Definition of a BPI Proctor

BPI Proctors are individuals that are qualified by BPI to deliver online and/or field examinations on behalf of BPI Affiliates. They are responsible for ensuring that BPI's high standards are upheld in the testing phase of BPI Certification.

BPI Proctors are most often employed by BPI Affiliates. Refresh Homes, as a BPI Affiliate, has created the Proctor Network™ to allow for independent contractor BPI Proctors. We serve as the required BPI Affiliate for public and private BPI Proctors nationwide. Through the Proctor Network™, BPI Proctors may administer tests to others or in-house staff*.

*in-house certification testing requires BPI approval; email affiliate@bpi.org for full details

Eligibility

Anyone is eligible to become a BPI Online Proctor and they do not need to be BPI Certified. Administrative and support staff are good candidates for frequent online proctoring.

All BPI Certified individuals are eligible to become BPI Field Proctors after they become a BPI Online Proctor.

All BPI Proctors (Online and/or Field) are eligible to apply to join the Proctor Network™ after they become a BPI Proctor.

Self-employed, salaried, and even unemployed individuals may apply. The ability to independently offer BPI Certification tests through our Proctor Network™ may be your business (home-based or otherwise) or you may leverage this proctoring ability as you work for others. In-house* BPI Proctors can save companies a lot of money in testing fees.
